Self Care Week Schedule

  • 10:00 AM – Weekly focus: Taking time for yourself
    This week will focus on the importance of taking time out to care for yourself and remember that you and your needs are important too.
  • 2:00 PM – Activity: Go for a nature walk!
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: What are you going to do this week for you?
  • 10:00 AM – Take a breath: Give yourself permission to just relax. Find space to be still and just breathe. Click here to watch this video for more tips!
  • 2:00 PM, Interactive via Zoom –  Activity: Breathe and imagery activity
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: How do you feel different when you focus on your breathing?
  • 7:00 PM – Trivia with the Youth Activation Committee (YAC)
  • 10:00 AM – Get outside: Do something you enjoy outside; it is good for both your mind and body – like our nature walks this week!
  • 2:00 PM –  Activity: Go for a nature walk!
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: Write three things you like about yourself. 
  • 2:00 PM, Interactive Via Zoom – Activity: DIY Sugar Scrub with Amber Meriam
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: How do you calm yourself down? 
  • 10:00 AM – Keep it in Perspective: Remember that some days are hard and it is okay to have difficult days!
  • 2:00 PM – Activity: Go for a nature walk!
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: Reflect on your walk today. How did the air feel on your face? What did you see on your walk and how did that make you feel?
  • 10:00 AM – Learning corner: Meditation and self care
  • 2:00 PM, Interactive via Zoom – Activity: Meditation for self care with the Good Elephant
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: What went well this week? 
  • 10:00 AM – Play some tunes: Listen to your favorite song (feel free to sing and dance).
  • 2:00 PM – Activity: Go for a nature walk!
  • 5:00 PM – Journal prompt: Reflect on your “go to” song and how it cheers you up.
