Athlete Leadership Programs University (ALPs U) is a full-day of learning about leadership through various majors including Communications, Health/Fitness, or Governance. Each semester consists of one day of learning focused on one course.
All courses are catered to the needs of Special Olympics Colorado athletes, the needs of each individual, and with the awareness that every single person learns differently.
Each course curriculum is designed to inspire individual athletes to work towards their fullest leadership potential through various current and future opportunities.
In order to support our athletes in the best way possible, volunteers are encouraged to join to support athletes on their journey in athlete leadership!
Registration Deadline: Please register by September 10 in order to receive materials on time.

Who is this course for?
Introduction to Leadership 101
This course is for first-time ALPs U attendees!
This course is for those who have decided to follow the communications track.
This course is for athletes who have ALREADY taken COM 201.
Health and Fitness 201
This course is for those who have decided they would like to be a health messenger.
Health and Fitness 202
This course is for athletes who have ALREADY taken Health and Fitness 201.
Governance and How to be a Game Changer 201
Special Olympics CO Staff
This course is for those who have decided they would like to study governance.
This course is for athletes who have ALREADY taken Governance 201.

Healthy Cooking and Kitchen Safety

These courses will all be taken in one day. They are for athletes who have ALREADY taken a 202 course, GOV 202, COM 202 or Health and Fitness 202.
