Laura Hancock serves as Chief Development Officer for Special Olympics Colorado, where she leads the organization’s fundraising strategy to expand opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state. She oversees all philanthropic initiatives, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, special events, individual and planned giving, and law enforcement engagement.

Prior to joining Special Olympics Colorado, Laura served as National Director of Corporate Partnerships for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and as Director of Regional Corporate Partnerships for the American Cancer Society in Colorado and Utah, where she led strategic partnerships, drove revenue growth, and expanded mission impact.

Before transitioning to nonprofit leadership, Laura was the founder and president of a health and fitness business, where she combined her expertise in athletic training and exercise science with her passion for helping others achieve their wellness goals. Her entrepreneurial background continues to shape her approach to building partnerships, driving growth, and creating community impact.
