Tim Sharpe has competed with Special Olympics Colorado for 35 years in sports including cross country skiing, basketball, soccer, golf, softball, and volleyball. His favorite sports are golf and softball. Tim says that “Special Olympics has impacted my life by helping me with my self-esteem and teaching me to work as a team.” Tim was the Male Athlete of the Year in 2001, and earned a spot as a golfer on Team USA-Colorado for the Special Olympics World Summer Games in North Carolina. He serves as a Fitness Coordinator to promote health and wellness to his fellow athletes, and mentors other athletes serving in that role. In his spare time, he is an avid Broncos fan and serves on the Athlete Input Council.
