But that’s not all – in an exciting twist, participants could now register their beloved furry companions as “Polar Pups” to join them for the 5K. A total of 75 Polar Pups joined in on the fun. Among them, Ru from the Castle Rock Police Department emerged as the top dog in fundraising, raising an impressive $3,477. Not far behind was Mikey Flynn from the Lone Tree Police Department, who raised $2,132. These canine companions truly proved that they’re more than just furry friends – they’re dedicated philanthropists too!

Adding to the excitement were some familiar faces from the world of sports. Kyle Freeland of the Colorado Rockies and Alex Singleton of the Denver Broncos lent their star power to the event, plunging into the icy depths with enthusiasm and spirit. Their presence added an extra dose of excitement to an already electrifying day. “My first ever on site polar plunge with the wifey [Ashley] was a freezing success,” Kyle wrote on Instagram. “I am so proud of Ashley for helping raise money for Special Olympics Colorado, an organization that we deeply care about and hold near and dear to us.”
