Tip A Cop

Law enforcement agencies across Colorado love participating in a Tip A Cop event. Usually hosted in a restaurant, this event allows officers to bond with athletes in a restaurant setting as they visit with each dining guest to talk about the mission of LETR and ask for donations (tips). Together they have fun while raising funds and awareness for Special Olympics Colorado athletes.

Agencies can partner with restaurants in their communities to host a Pop-Up Tip A Cop! Email us at letrco@specialolympicsco.org and we can help you get started!

“Partnering with Special Olympics Colorado is an important part of the Castle Rock Police Department’s community outreach efforts and is consistent with our department’s vision of One-By-One Policing. Working with Special Olympics Colorado makes us better people and better police officers, which helps us thrive as individuals and as an organization.

Special Olympics athletes teach us about demonstrating empathy and compassion and how important it is to care for each other.”

– Jack Cauley | Chief of Police | Castle Rock Police Department
