Karen Egan, represents the Southeast Region for the Family Input Council. Karen has a son Vincent, a 26-year-old Special Olympics Colorado athlete and 4 daughters who volunteer as Coaches and Unified Partners around the state. Karen is also an active volunteer and Team Coordinator for the Pikes Peak Wolves teams, representing over 250 athletes of all ages, including Unified Juniors.

Karen looks forward to representing the families and caregivers she serves in the region and like other council members, appreciates opportunities to share a parent’s perspective. Karen believes that the best education regarding the navigation of the “special needs world”, has come from the sidelines of a Special Olympics event. Karen values the unique network of Special Olympic families and is proud to represent the Southeast region.
