Jade Galan

Athlete of the Month

Jade has been a Special Olympics Colorado athlete since she was 7 years old. She started competing in swimming, track, bowling and basketball. Just last year, she also started competing in snowshoeing. Jade loves to compete in Special Olympics and her favorite part about competing is seeing old friends and coaches.

When she’s not competing, Jade likes to write songs. She loves poetry, music and instruments. She also enjoys adult coloring books and reading. Additionally, Jade loves to travel virtually, where she can explore and learn about different cultures and countries. She also loves her job at the ARC.

Special Olympics Colorado was also selected as their nonprofit partner of the month in February and March, further enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities.
