Gary Johnston is entering his Senior Year at Brighton High School. While at Brighton High School, he served as a Youth Activation Committee Representative paired with his brother Kolton Johnston. As a Youth Activation Committee Representative he helped organize and volunteer at numerous events including the Youth Summit, the Special Olympics Trunk or Treat, and the Spread the Word campaign. These events all serve to increase awareness and inclusivity for the special needs community. In addition to being an active member in the Youth Activation Committee, he has participated in Unified Basketball and Unified Bowling and is excited to do so again in his Senior Year. Gary can often be found in the hallways of Brighton High School recruiting classmates to attend the unified sporting events to support inclusivity. Gary grew up in Kolton’s hospitals and therapy rooms and has always had a passion to support his brother and the special needs community.
