Lauren Womble
Young Athletes Representative

Lauren Womble is the Special Olympics Colorado Young Athlete Representative on Family Input Council. Based out of Denver, she has a 7 year old daughter, Vivian, with Down syndrome, and they have been part of Special Olympics for the past 4 years. Because of their own personal experiences and long-standing connections to organized sports, Lauren and her husband (Austin) sought out Special Olympics and any Young Athlete opportunities for Vivian to learn skills as well as how to be a part of a team. Lauren joined the Family Input Council to help maintain the Special Olympics brand recognition and connection for young athletes and parents who may be new in the intellectual and development disability community.
