Phillip Merrill, Utah State University graduate cum laude, proud husband of 28 years, father of three, dedicated business leader, and outdoor enthusiast is looking to be a part of Special Olympics Colorado to help provide a better world by fostering the acceptance and inclusion of all people. In 2009, while working for The Coca-Cola Company, Phillip personally lead the corporate sponsorship of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Boise, Idaho. Phillip has a history of analytical thinking with a strong leadership focus on brand marketing, corporate partnerships, organizational culture, and people. He is passionate about his business, family and hobbies.
 
Phillip has moved quickly through the Coca-Cola organization over the past 15 years from Franchise Manager to National Account Director to Sales Operations Manager across Colorado. With each move Phillip has left the organization stronger and more capable in delivering its mission. Along the way Phillip has developed effective corporate partnerships between Swire Coca-Cola and Colorado Rapids, Cheyenne Frontier Days, B&GC of Metro Denver, and Denver Arts and Venues. In 2019, Phillip lead his sales division to be the #1 Coca-Cola sales division in the country. His leadership will help SOCO analyze and leverage market data to maximize its corporate, media, and community partnerships to provide children and adults with intellectual disabilities “The Power to Transform Lives.”
