Tony Spurlock is Douglas County’s 33rd Sheriff. He was first elected Sheriff in 2015 and re-elected in November 2018. He has worked in law enforcement for 38 years. During his first term he created a multi-departmental partnership to build the Unified Metropolitan Forensic Crime Lab, and a partnership with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office for a POST Academy to accommodate 50+ cadets annually. Spurlock also developed Douglas County’s first financial crime task force collaborating with Castle Rock PD, Lone Tree PD, and the United States Secret Service.

 

Sheriff Spurlock resides in Douglas County with his wife Stacy. They have four children and are the proud grandparents to three grandchildren.
