Kristie Obregon | Events Manager; Special Olympics Colorado

Bio: Kristie Obregon is the Events Manager at Special Olympics Colorado and helps to run many of the fundraising events held throughout the year including Polar Plunge, Plane Pull, and Hall of Fame. She is also the SOCO liaison for the Young Professionals Board. Kristie has worked for Special Olympics Colorado for almost 2 and a half years and loves seeing how the fundraising events bring the community together to help support SOCO programming and the amazing athletes we serve.

Katherine Kopp | Special Education Teacher, Denver Public Schools

Bio: Katherine Kopp is a Special Education Teacher with Denver Public Schools where she is starting her 11th year in education.  She is currently a Multi-Intensive Special Education Teacher and helps to run the Unified Team at her school and their fundraising events.

 

Nia Andricopoulos | Coach, Unified Partner and SO College President; Regis University

Bio: Hi! My name is Nia Andricopoulos. A little bit about me. I am 19 and a sophomore at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. I am studying Biology with a concentration in Genetics and Pre-Health. I have been an advocate for people with disabilities for 9 years and a part of Special Olympics for 7 years! I founded and am currently President of the Special Olympics College Club here at Regis where we play Unified Sports (Basketball, flag football and soccer), make artwork, and experience college together. Additionally, I am the President of the Student Disability Alliance and the Disability, Equity and Inclusion Senator as a part of the student government.
