Connor has been competing for Special Olympics Colorado for 7 years. He first got involved with basketball and now competes in many sports, including flag football, basketball, softball, soccer and athletics!

Outside of competing, Connor has the opportunity to be part of the National Work Team for Special Olympics North America, where he meets new leaders from different states to work together to become better leaders in their communities. He is also on the Executive Board of the SO College Club at CSU and says he loves it. As part of the Executive Board, Connor is not only an athlete but also mentors new athletes serves as the team captain. His favorite part about competing with Special Olympics Colorado is being able to cheer on his teammates and friends during games, as well as being able to travel around the state with his “RAMily” at CSU (a play on the word family, as CSU’s mascot is the ram).

Overall, Connor truly enjoys being part of the Special Olympics Colorado family. “I recommend everyone tries something new and gets out of their comfort zone,” exclaimed Connor. “You’ll meet new people and have good friends.”
