I need to change something on my registration.

Thanks for reviewing your registration. If you need to change the information submitted on the registration (including if you can no longer participate), please do not register again. We would prefer that you let us know by email. Contact your Regional Manager by email to make a change.

When will I hear about my team placement?

Team placements are generally announced 2-3 weeks after seasonal registration closes. The announcements will come from your Regional Manager or coach. If the season has started, and you registered but have not heard about a team placement, please contact your Regional Manager. For information on the dates, please visit Seasonal Registration – Special Olympics CO.

Placement is based on team availability and not guaranteed. Some community programs may have their own additional registration. This will not replace their registration, so please also connect with those programs directly if you’ve participated with them in the past (i.e. parks and recreation departments).

How do I know when a team practices?

Each team sets their own practice schedule. When rosters are finalized after the close of registration, you will receive a Team Announcement email of those details. Occasionally, practice times will not be confirmed by the time Team Announcements are made. If so, your coach will follow up with practice details as they’re confirmed. If your team is a Parks and Recreation program, those details can be found on their website.

My selected team is a Parks and Recreation Team what else do I need to do?

If you selected a Parks and Recreation team, you would also need to register with them. It is important to pay attention to their registration deadlines as they may differ from Special Olympics Colorado’s deadlines. They will also have their practice dates, times and locations published on their individual websites. We will share the Parks and Recreation website links during the Team Announcement period but we recommend reaching out to your Parks and Recreation team directly for additional information, questions, and support.
